It's no coincidence that we're seeing parallel attacks on access to abortion and gender-affirming care across the country. Both evidence an intentional stripping of bodily autonomy and criminalization of those who continue to seek necessary medical care.

We know from our research that many transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people self-manage their abortions due to barriers to care as well as a preference for privacy. This training is a response to growing barriers to care for TGE people who are already at increased risk of criminalization. The training provides comprehensive information on self-managing an abortion with misoprostol or misoprostol and mifepristone while keeping safe from criminalization.
